UNICORN CAKE

My daughter’s birthday is coming! And this year she wants a unicorn cake (of course). My husband and I are not very talented pastry chefs, so we have very little time, and we begin to get really nervous. And again we implore to our nowadays god of knowledge,”YouTube”.

There are plenty of tutorials, but we think the best one is of Rosanna Pansino´s.

 




How to make a unicorn cake for dummies

You have to try this tutorial.It’s made for people like us, to do it at home with regular ingredients you could easily buy in any store. She makes everything from scratch and it’s welcomed. The result is the cutest unicorn cake (golden horn included) you could imagine.

 

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups of all-purpose flour;

1½ cups of sugar; 1 stick of salted butter,

you’ll want it at room temperature;
5 large egg whites;

¾ cup of whole milk;

¼ cup of shortening;
¼ teaspoon of almond extract;

2 teaspoons of vanilla extract;

2 teaspoons of baking powder;
⅛ teaspoon of salt;

and ¼ cup of rainbow sprinkles!
